In 2007, Pitman participated in the "Stanislaus County" meet. That year the PHS Girl's won the title for the 2nd year in a row. Instead a scoring error sent the trophy home with Ceres High School, the trophy has yet to be recovered.
In 2008, the PHS boy's were favored to win the meet. And by extreme coincidence, the meet got cancelled. Stealing a 2nd trophy from the Pride.
Using the GREAT resource that is Athletic.net, they have created a "Stanislaus County" Leaderboard. By checking and scoring the final 2008 leaderboard here are the team totals from the lost 2008 meet:

MODESTO-The Pitman High School track team opened it's season Friday night at the Stanislaus County Championships at the Modesto Junior College track.
The weather was rainy earlier in the day, but the rain held off during the evening meet.
The event got off to a fast start for the Pride, as both boys and girls 4x100 relay teams sprinted to convincing victories.
The boys were led by anchor Anthony Harding.
The girl's team established a section leading time near 50 seconds, their goal of breaking the 50 second barrier is within reach this season according to girls head coach Chris Wolfley. "We've been training hard to peak this week, and it paid off with extraordinary results for both teams," Wolfley said. "We plan to keep this trophy for years to come. Our boys will be a force this year and in the future. More than half of the boys who represented us tonight were freshmen and sophomores."
The Pride girls won the County team title over second place Modesto with 98.5 points to Modesto's 73.
The Pride boys were edged by Ceres for the team title, 76.5-73.
Individual champions for the Pride were dual winner Jacque Villagomez in the 100 and 300 hurdles who was also a member of the winning 4x100 relay team. She was named the Girl's Athlete of the Meet.
On the boy's side, senior Frank Sanders placed second in the high jump and the 800 meter race. He was also third in the 400 meters and he anchored the boy's 4x400 relay to an exciting second place finish.
Several school records also fell at the event including times in girls 4x100 and 4x400 relays. The times were respectively 50.74 and 4:22.
Seniors, Eric Bond (3200), Eric Berlinski (shot put) and Chelsea Day (pole vault), also established school records.
Returning state qualifier, Elizabeth Boydston won the triple jump with a jump of 34'11".
Davis High senior track standout Nathan Paterson said, "My kick saves me a lot." Paterson kicked into an extra gear on Friday at the Stanislaus County Track & Field Meet at Modesto Junior College.
Paterson won the 400 and 800 meter races, then came back to anchor the Spartans' dramatic, come-from-behind victory in the 1,600 relay in the meet finale.
"I had a busy day," he said with a grin.
The Ceres boys (76.5) won the team title ahead of Pitman (73) Modesto (72), and Oakdale (70). The Pitman girls (98.5), sparked by two impressive performances in the 4-by-100 and 4-by-400 relays, earned the other crown. Modesto (73) finished second, Riverbank (65) third and Davis (63) fourth.
The chilly weather didn't deter many athletes from recording personal bests.
There was Johansen senior Edirin Egbikuadje, who was a triple-winner and racked up personal records in the 300 hurdles (42.1) and long jump (21 feet, 6.5 inches) after winning the 110 hurdles (15.2). The 6-foot-3, 192-pound senior, headed to UC Irvine on a soccer scholarship, said he picked up hurdles randomly his freshman year.
"It's like food, an acquired taste," Egbikuadje said. "You try it, you like it, and find out you're pretty good at it. It's been fun."
Riverbank junior Maritza Garcia cruised to victories in the 1,600 (5:12.10) and 800 (2:20.4). Garcia was itching to run her first mile race of the season, and she didn't waste any time pulling away after the first lap.
"I felt really good," Garcia said. "Just like another workout."
The boys 1,600 had a tighter finish. Modesto sophomore Alejandro Hernandez said he was a bit scared in the final lap after being pushed by teammate Steve Casado and Turlock's Jeff Walter. But Hernandez (4:39.5) kicked it in the final 150 meters to slip past Walter (4:40.7).
Along with fellow sophomore Marty Pyeatt, who finished second in the 3,200, Hernandez has the Panthers' coaching staff pumped.
Hernandez "has a chance to be one of Modesto High's best," Modesto coach Mike Leach said. "We've had a lot of great runners over the years - but he'll be right up there."
Three Pitman juniors, and one freshman, helped the Pride break a school record in the 400 relay. Juniors Jacque Villagomez, Crystal Dorsey and Aloria Roberson and freshman Cecily Howze finished in 50.6. Villagomez, already a winner in the 100 hurdles, later won the 300 hurdles (50.1). Dorsey, Roberson and Howze returned, along with Triple Jump winner Elizabeth Boydston, to propel the Pride to a third-place finish in the 1,600 relay (4:22.3).
Pitman's boys 400 relay team, anchored by senior Anthony Harding, also won.
"Both the boys and girls (relay teams) are gonna make some noise this year," Pitman coach Chris Wolfley said.
Davis High junior Kyanna Thomas, a transfer from Edison of Fresno, made some noise of her own. Thomas, who was the 400-meter champ for the Central Section last season, won the 400 (59.0) and 200 (26.4) on Friday.
Just like Paterson, Thomas has run some more 800s to help build endurance for the shorter races. Paterson held off an impressive kick by Modesto's Alex Freitas in the 400. Paterson finished at 49.8, with Freitas 49.9.
"Nathan's been doing a lot of work in the weightroom," Davis coach Richard Antal said. "He's much better and stronger this year."
